Comparison Shopping

Google Can Save You Money!

Before you decide to make an online purchase, make sure you’re getting the best deal available. I wanted to share an effective money saving technique that is, well– quite simple. The internet/Google (they’re nearly interchangeable at this point) has provided us with the opportunity to access literally any piece of information we can imagine at the click of the button.  So why not take full advantage of that when it comes to shopping? If it’s as simple as Googling a product for a better deal, then why not spare the extra 30 seconds to do so? And 30 seconds is a pretty conservative figure.

The majority of the time, you’ll likely research a product pretty extensively before purchasing. You’ll look at several different models in hopes of finding the one that suits your wants and needs best. For example: I recently purchased a guitar pedal from Amazon and I must have looked at 30 different brands and variations before making my choice. I read the reviews, watched YouTube videos and as I narrowed my search; I searched for famous musicians who use the pedal. Eventually I came to the conclusion (if you’re curious) that the Ibanez TS Tube Screamer – Classic was the item I had to have. Has it made my guitar playing any better? Not, at all, but I like to imagine it does.

I’ve digressed. Back to the subject. So the question is, where can you go to find a comparison shopping tool? Aside from simply doing Googling “Comparison Shopping”, I’ve compiled a list of sites that I’ve found to be the most beneficial. So without further ado, here is that list in no particular order–no pun intended.

Google.com

PriceGrabber.com

Become.com

Shopzilla.com

ShopAtHome.com
